Overview

ING in Austria, started as the first "direct bank" in austria, at the most attractive rates in that market. With interest rates shifting consumer into investments, ING in Austria wanted to become more attractive for regular user interactions and set up an in-house UX Unit that would tackle design & interaction challenges.

Challenges

With beeing the cheapest alternative in the austrian loan market, cost challenges were always in focus, we also had to work with an outsourced development team in turkey to cut costs.

Role

As ING was shifting their design capacity to in-house I had the role to built a UX Unit where our design Team grew to 4 people.

New Product offering: Housing Loans

With low interest rates and relatively affordable prices for private property the move to offer housing loans came naturally. 
ING is the only Bank in Austria to offer a transparent instant loan calculator, if the costumer is eligible, the displayed rate is to be payed.
